A Fashion week/ show is a fashion industry event that lasts approximately one week. Big Fashion Designers, Brands, or “houses” come and display their latest collections and trends in RUNWAY FASHION SHOWS to buyers and the media. Such types of events influence trends for the current and upcoming seasons. Such events debut every season, particularly the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter seasons on their runway. The two well-known and the most influential fashion weeks are PARIS FASHION WEEK and NEW YORK FASHION WEEK. In addition, the MILAN, LONDON, and BERLIN fashion weeks are also of the same global importance.
The concept of fashion week first began in Paris when marketers used to hire women to wear couture items for them in public places, from racetracks to salons. The first Paris fashion week began in 1973. Unfortunately, in almost all fashion shows worldwide, celebrities have meltdowns, which steals every show from the fashion itself. These kinds of displays are now popularly known as “SHOW STEALERS.”

In a typical fashion show, models CATWALK dressed in the clothing made by their designers. They make their clothing illuminated by the lighting and special effects on the runway. How the model will walk out, and by which series is already planned following the designer’s convenience, as he decides who shall come first and who’s next. Their designer also decides which model will wear according to their Body type to display their best-of collection. Then, the decision is up to the audience to understand what the designer is trying to depict through their outfits and appreciate the detail and craftsmanship expressed in every piece.
Occasionally, runways take the form of installations, where the models have to be static, standing, or sitting in a well-constructed environment. A wide range of designers tend to produce their shows as theatrical productions and elaborate sets and add elements like Live Music or various technological components like holograms, for example.
